We traveled away from San Simeon on Highway 1 all the way up to San Francisco. The ride was absolutely gorgeous. We stopped frequently to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. We stopped in Big Sur and had lunch and Carmel was amazing. Once in San Francisco we stayed in a broom closet at the Hilton San Francisco and visited the Golden Gate bridge (walking halfway across and back dodging bicyclists the entire way), Alcatraz, and Sausalito.
