Birthday presents for L Rizzy from the Milosevic Family

Blografters:

Many years ago we were introduced to some wonderful people in Youngstown.  He, a brash, young, competent surgeon in training and she, a kind, deep hearted, family centered, mother in training.  We immediately were drawn to our similarities to them, but it was the great conversations, homemade wine, and Hennessy that kept us coming back.  Both with strong ties to Columbus and she with a history of teaching with the wife of the best man in my wedding, we obviously had a web of connections.  As time went on, we found out that his parents lived a stone's throw away from my mother in Columbus.  As their family grew, we were lucky to spend many a evenings at their place having dinner, enjoying spirits, and loud talking at each other the night away.  Whether it was about the miracle that is the Magic Bullet or the complexities of raising children, we never had a shortage of topics to discuss.

When we moved away from Ohio to Los Angeles we certainly missed our families, but we also missed our great network of friends we had developed in Youngstown.  Among those great friends were the Milosevics.  At the time of our departure the family stood at but three.  It has since grown to five.  After his training in Youngstown completed they moved to Maryland for a year of training but recently decided to return to Youngstown to practice and we could not be more excited (for them and us).  When we return to Youngstown to visit family from wherever we may be, we can also look forward to a great conversation and large glass of esophagus burning Hennessy to welcome our homecoming.

L Rizzy's first birthday is a month away, but on Friday he received his first presents!  A large brown box sent from Maryland in good ol' US of A came carrying amazing things for us all.  Cool Ranch Doritos, candy, snacks, puffs, graduates, books, and three really cool toys will keep us all busy in the weeks that are coming (very important because in 30 short days Aunt Thresa will be here kicking off 2.5 months of intense, fun filled activity).  It was an unexpected and amazing kick off to the weekend and we are so thankful to our stateside friends for their fantastic generosity.  L Rizzy is lucky to have such wonderful people in his life.

There's something here for me!

It's a huge box!

So.... let's open it

Uh, I dunno if I trust her with a knife

Pull open the top

Peek inside...
What is that?

Bags?

Bags!

These should be fun!

Look at all this amazing stuff!

It tastes so good

Wait- what is that...

Ducky!
