Moving To Germnay

On August 3rd, after some really tough goodbyes to our great Columbus (and some Cincinnati and Youngstown!) family and friends, we boarded a plane headed to Leipzig, Germany through Philadelphia and Munich.  It all started with a temporary delay in Columbus because of bad weather in Philly.  This delay led to us getting into Philly 5 minutes before our connecting flight was to leave for Munich, Germany.  As we get off the plane we were handed another itinerary because we missed our connecting flight.  Our new itinerary had us leaving Philly the next night! The first thing that came to my mind was how in the heck was I going to entertain a 4 month old in the airport for 24 hours.  To make a long story short, we thought we may have been able to get on a flight that night, but the customer service agent screwed it up.  At this point, it was too late for us to catch that flight.  Because it was their mess up, they paid for us to stay the night in a hotel.  The next night we flew out of Philly and we were on our way to Germany (but not before we saw our last celebrity in America- Rasheed “Sheed” Wallace).  L Rizzy did well on his first transatlantic flight.  Actually, he had the best seat on the plane.  He had a bassinette all to himself.  He slept the majority of the night.  It was a great flight until we landed in Munich.  In Munich we had to stand in a huge line to get our boarding passes.  L dubs almost divorced me twice because I was screaming at him for pulling me out of line and then losing our baggage tickets.  We were all tired, nervous, and crabby.  We made it through ok and took a cab way over packed with 7 bags to our new home in Leipzig, Germany.

Despite being marooned in Philly, L Rizzy enjoys himself
