GERMANY
We are all still trying to adjust to the German culture and the time change. We are 6 hours ahead of EST. The people here are not terribly friendly. No one smiles but that makes me feel like I am home in LA! Some people do speak English but not everyone. When we arrived at our new apartment the landlord did not speak any English. That was interesting! The first night was rough… L Rizzy slept on a chair pushed against our bed. Then, L Dubs, L Rizzy and I were in the baby store trying to find L Rizzy a crib and not one employee spoke English. L Dubs pulls out his I Phone and starts blurting out words which mean “crib” in German. We all just started laughing at each other because they continued to speak to us in German as we continued to speak to them in English. The Germans that do know how to speak English have been very helpful in restaurants and stores. L Dubs just walks up to anyone and says “sprechen sie English” we get so excited when they say yes!
