So we were hoping to get an amazing day to go out and take pictures around Leipzig. There are some gorgeous buildings, interesting passages, and beautiful cobblestone roads. However... we soon came to find out that even on amazing days, clouds roll in without notice. Nevertheless this pictures turned out decent. To be honest, it was a great day other than L Rizzy taking the opportunity to have some GI issues requiring a full outfit change and baby wipe bath... while laying on the sidewalk. The majority of the pictures are from the Zentrum, or City Center. It has a great network of nooks and crannies to walk through to get to even more shopping and fun. There are plenty of sights and sounds for L Rizzy to enjoy. The last two pictures are of the Promenade which also harbors the Main Station and Train Station. The place is more situated like a regular American mall- only difference is the trains and trams that come and go. There are plenty of places to eat, many ice cream shops, a nice grocery store, Aldi's, electronic store like Best Buy, KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonald's and Subway. Naturally we had to try them all to assure accuracy of the meal preparations. The beautiful thing about both the Promenade and Zentrum is they are easily within walking distance (or an easy tram ride if laziness is the theme of the day!). Also, early on while walking home from the Promenade we happened upon a large baby store as well- not quite as consummate as Babies-r-us, but certainly adequate. All in all, our new city is very exciting and we are growing in our appreciation for it!
