"Baby's 1st Boo" is a crawler

Bloghouls:

As our lives have gotten busier on this side of the pond it has made blogging more and more difficult.  Coming up with blog ideas can be difficult too.  Will people think this post is stupid?  Should we show people the silly things we do on a daily basis?  Does my hair look right?  Am I gaining weight?  What if everyone laughs at me?  What if the work week were the opposite- 2 days of work and 5 days of weekend?  Would I still hate Sunday nights and Monday mornings?  Is there anyway I can get paid for eating food or not exercising?  Would my son respect me if I was getting paid doing those things?  Would I even care if I had such a sweet job?  Since the easiest fight to win is against someone who is already losing a fight- should I jump in the middle of a dust up making it a 3 man scrum so I have a better chance of not coming in last place?  What are we doing here?  Did anyone just see me "scratch" the inside of my nose?  Why did I just do it again?  Is it too late to become an actor?  I mean, I know its a long shot, but I was so good in the 6th grade play... I have a chance, right?  Oh shit, am I talking out loud?

L Rizzy is growing in leaps and bounds.  After about 4 weeks of rocking back and forth and scooting backwards while on all fours, L Riz put a decently coordinated crawl motion together and has been exploring ever since.  For the last 2 weeks he has found that cables to electronics are very interesting, that the kitchen is a cool place to hang out, and that the crib is a place to play jungle gym.  Several times during the last few nights we have woken to L Rizzy crying only to find him standing in his crib, unable to get back down.  Once laid down, he is fine.  Eventually we will work on our getting down skills- but for now it's too much fun watching him slither around and wreck havoc.

Halloween is upon us.  Germany certainly does not take it as seriously as America (they love firecrackers, though.... all the time).  We have been watching on Facebook everyone dressing their children in nice costumes and gathering and carving pumpkins and it has made us pretty homesick.  We debated ordering a costume for him but decided that it would only be to take pictures of him.  We have many more years to dress him up in ridiculous outfits for picture taking so I don't think he'll miss this one time.  Thankfully Aunt T sent him a "Baby's 1st Boo" outfit that he's already worn 4 times.  How many times can it be his first boo?  As many times as it fits.

In 2 weeks time we will be in Ohio, getting ready to enjoy chili with friends and family.  We are so excited we occasionally pee in our pants a little bit.  Well, mostly that's L Rizzy who does that, but I admit I'm not above it.  2 months of work are done, meaning 10 months remain.  No official countdown has started (305 days).  Time flies when you are having "fun", I guess.

Happy Halloween

Don't mind our dryer running in the background
