Grassi Museum and Horse Back Riding

Blogermans:

We are constantly trying to find new things to do in this one horse town that are new and exciting.  Most of the time it's not exciting, but at least we are giving it the old college try.  On most occasions we find out about events around town from the extensive posters and signs that are hanging all over.  On this occasion the posters said "Grassi Messe" which means "Grassi Messe" or something.  The Grassi Museum is right around the corner so we decided to check it out.  I did look at the website prior to our arrival and essentially gathered that it was a design showcase.

So we moseyed on over to check it out.  There seemed to be a lot of people there so that made us think it would be interesting.  We walked into the museum and suffice to say we did not see anything that seemed appealing.  So we turned around and walked outside and decided to walk around the Grassi Museum grounds since it is fall and with the leaves changing colors it was quite pretty.  After walking for sometime it became apparent that there were a number of headstone looking types of things.  Upon closer examination our fears were realized- we were in fact walking around a cemetery.  I took pictures anyways and we made a beeline for the exit.

Disappointed that we had not been out for more than an hour we decided to walk to the City Center to have lunch.  We elected to have lunch at the Galleria which is a Macy's kind of store and is 5 levels of shopping.  The top floor has a nice cafeteria type of thing with tons of options to choose from.  Let me explain something: it is infinitely more easy for us to eat in these situations (or brunch buffets) because we can just grab what looks good or point to what we want instead of being forced to muddle through a 6 page menu in German.  So after chowing down we were heading for the door when out of the corner of my eye I saw a wild steed nickering.  We were nervous- how would L Rizzy respond to such an imposing stud.  I waited for the tears to start streaming but instead L Rizzy motioned that he wanted to mount the noble Secretariat.  So we approached from the side... quietly yet deliberately.  When the equine looked away I hurled L Rizzy up onto his back.  L Rizzy immediate calmed the wild stallion down and put his mind at ease.  L Rizzy then giggle and smiled like a 2nd grade schoolgirl.  He proceeded to ride Seabiscuit around like a seasoned veteran.  When the horse became tired I helped L Rizzy dismount and we headed out for home.  Perhaps we will return at a later date to mount the colt once again.

Nice park?

Wait a second... this looks a little bit like...
Yep I think it is

A graveyard

With naked ladies

He was a wild stud

Expertly mounted and rode
