Poland: L Rizzy's 6th Country- Warsaw

Blograffics:

Well we hit the meat and potatoes of our busy April with a trip to Poland.  Uncle Matt and Aunt Jamie decided several months ago to visit but we all wanted to see something new as well.  We had thought about going back to Prague because we liked it so much (Aunt Jamie had visited there in the past too) but we elected to go to Poland instead.  The flights from America worked out well so that they could fly into Warsaw and fly home from Berlin.  So we headed up to Warsaw (train to Berlin, flight to Warsaw) a day early due to flight costs and it allowed us to check out the city.  On the way to Berlin we were able to get the Child compartment that had toys and a horsey kind of thing that L Rizzy loved.

Once in Warsaw after a relatively painless travel day, we checked into our hotel.  We had lunch at a mall right next to the Warsaw central train station which from the outside looked a bit like a ski slope.  We then walked around the train station and surrounding areas.  For dinner, there was a large traditional Polish buffet at the hotel which was amazing.  Once again L Rizzy wore himself out by rolling, jumping, screaming, and laughing on the large bed in the hotel room.

The next day, we headed out for Rick Steve's walking tour.  We were able to see the Chopin museum, the pillar in a huge gorgeous church where Chopin's heart rests, the Old Town, and the new soccer (football) stadium for the Euro 2012 that will be held in Warsaw.  The highlight, though, was L Rizzy's first ride in a swing.  He absolutely loved it and giggled the whole time like a school girl.  In the late afternoon Uncle Matt and Aunt Jamie arrived from America and we boarded a train from Warsaw to Krakow.  This train left at 6:45 PM and was completely packed with people.  It was a rough train ride but we made it safely and once at our amazing bed and breakfast in Krakow we all enjoyed the super comfortable beds to get some well deserved rest for a busy next few days.
