Our final days in Leipzig were extremely busy. There were many government buildings to visit with various bureaucratic tasks to accomplish, extensive cleaning and re-arranging of the flat was necessary, and packing and preparing to move the remainder of our belongings home to America via a trip through the UK and a long boat ride. Three days prior to our departure we invited several of the friends we had made in Germany over to our place for some sandwiches and beer. We also wanted to thank them for their help and companionship. We also had them back over on the night before our journey began for pizza, beer, and a giveaway of the belongs that we were not taking with us. Even though we had a good time, we were sad to say goodbye to our friends. At the same time, though, we are extremely excited to travel, boat, and go home! Next stop London!
