Our little man celebrated his first birthday a little differently than most one year olds. L Dubs and I bought L Rizzy a chocolate muffin the day before his birthday. We bought a can of whipped cream and a number 1 candle. I had to hide the can from L Dubs so that it wouldn't be watery by the time I needed it the next day (if you know what I mean). We planned a Skype date with Grandmother, Grandma, and Papa. Grandma surprised us by having Nana at her house to Skype with L Rizzy as well. We set up both computers on the table and begin the festivities. I took the chocolate muffin out of the bag and it was rock hard! We had no choice but to throw a little whipped cream on it, stick a candle in it, and dig in because we had an audience waiting. We all sang "happy birthday" to L Riz and then let him "enjoy" his rock hard muffin. He HATED it! I'm not sure if it was the chocolate he didn't like or the fact that he couldn't chew it. He played in the whipped cream a little bit but had more fun waving to his grandparents on both computer screens. It was amazing to have our parents and grandparent sing and watch L Rizzy on his first birthday.
